RAINBOW COLLECTIVE
FOR CHANGE
is building safe, inclusive, and equitable spaces for LGBTQ+ families and raising a generation of inclusive humans.
-
We build community by connecting LGBTQIA+ families with children ages 0-12 through events like Play Dates, Meet Ups, and Story Times.
We support LGBTQIA+ caregivers and children through programs designed to build self-esteem, positive self and social identity, and reduce anxiety and depression. Programs include Rainbow Summer Camp, extracurricular workshops, and Parents Night Out.
We have chapters in Durham, NC and Twin Cities, MN and more to come!
-
We engage with families and children, listening to their stories about the communities they live in and the systems that are meant to serve them. We stand up and with our BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities to advocate for justice and equity for all children and families.
Advocacy efforts have included, but are not limited to local government, business communities, school districts, and healthcare organizations.
-
We support schools and districts by providing tools, resources and training focused on becoming LGBTQIA+ and gender inclusive.
